Is this the end for Matt Bevin?By Sam Youngman link: www.kentucky.com/2014/02/17/3094476/political-paddock-is-this-the.html#storylink=cpy And does Alison Lundergan Grimes' "Granny" think it is wrong or strange that McConnell would come after his opponent from the other party with all he's got?
Politics is a tough game, often tougher than I think it needs to be, but if she can't take the heat she needs to head back to the kitchen. I am sick to death of women talking a good game but then whining when the going gets tough. Lundergan Grimes is going after the Senate Minority Leader, did she expect he would play patty-cake. I hope he, whom I don't like, mops up the floor with her liberal ass!
And if the Tea Party wishes to be taken seriously when "primarying" tough old establishment types they had best put forth good, credible candidates.

It isn't many times I say, go Mitch, but this is one of them.

It isn't many times I say, go Mitch, but this is one of them. I'm with ya on that. I don't have much use for McConnell but better him than the Dem. If Bevin really cared about the Republican Party he would step down now that he's damaged goods. But if past performances by Tea Party candidates is any indication he will not. And damage McConnell badly in the doing. Not that McConnell hasn't done a damn fine job of damaging himself.

.....and when all is said and done, if we both have our wish, we will be left, once again, with ol' Mitch, back into his old position of majority leader. Sigh! Once saving grace is that Uncle Harry will no longer be in charge.

Once saving grace is that Uncle Harry will no longer be in charge. If the GOP wants to show that they aren't the same party that acted like Democrats when they were last in power they will elect a new majority leader. The Dems re-elected Pelosi after she lead them to the shellacking of 2010. Why would the GOP want the same old fart who lead them to defeat after defeat to lead them again? But it would not be easy - the establishment is well entrenched and would fight like feral dogs before relinquishing one iota of power.

The republicans may give it back to Mitch because of loyalty, sense of he's still next, etc. They always have too much infighting.
